KITCHENS

Kitchen exhaust hoods are one of my favorite “quiet showpieces” in a home. They sit right at eye level in the busiest room of the house, so when you treat them as a design element instead of an appliance cover, the entire kitchen changes. A custom metal hood adds height, presence, and just the right amount of drama. It can pull in lines from your railings, lighting, or hardware, and suddenly everything feels coordinated instead of pieced together.

Functionally, they still do all the unglamorous work of moving heat, steam, and cooking smells out of the way. But the shell you see every day is where the personality lives. Clean, simple panels for a modern look, rivets and straps for a more rustic feel, or a mix of iron with wood or stone for something truly unique. A well designed hood anchors the stove wall and makes the entire kitchen feel more intentional, even on the days when dinner is just grilled cheese.
